I must admit .. i did not expect for this event to be so organized .. it was an actual event and not just a get together .. i wonder what it would be like next year ?! in a hotel with real food?
who knows ..
So first of all HI 5 ! to the organizers ..
Secondly, it was great to see so many Omani Tweeps (Al Mutawatireen Al 3omaniyeen) ...
So Hi 5! to them too ..
Thirdly, It was nice to meet some new people and put faces to the @s you see on the screens...
One thing that came to be very apparent is the lack of any westerners in the Omani Twitter Community ... At least they did not have any representations at the Twestipal ... wait ! i am wrong there was one ... i think ...
overall 3ashra 3alla 3ashra (10/10)... next time i think it needs to be less formal and more relaxed so people can get a chance to talk more and get to know each other .. this can become a start to what can eventually become an official Omani On-Line community.. or maybe not ..
Who knows ...
As far as my little Hit and Run goes .. i cant believe the guy really ran away .. left the county .. is it that easy for expats to leave? and why did he leave? because of this accident? is really why someone would decide to leave his job, his life in Oman, his end of service benefits, his source of income and just leave the country? I am also starting to feel a little misunderstood (mithil ela6fal) no one seems to care that this guy looked me in the eye and then (3a6ani wheel o ra7) .. everybody wants to get my car fixed more than me !
So i spoke to Junior today and asked him about his Mother .. she is still sick and he has to take her to appolo clinic later .. he also said he will go to his insurance company and get the ball rolling for me to fix my car .. what an anticlimax sara7a .. i expected an action packed thriller sequence (harib min al 3adalah) type scenario where they police will catch the guy and i will have to identify him (aiwa .. howa da ya 7adhrat elzabi6) but that seems to be behind us now .. lets see what Junior does on Saturday ....

next time it should be less organized and less formal .. more of a gathering .. maybe where people are forced to sit with everyone .. and not just stick to ppl they know ..
