Its all about the kids (Aish Thanb El A6fal)

It all started when @muscati tweeted on friday about the kids not starting school on saturday because the school is not going to have any electricity... i didnt take it seriously at the beginning but then i started to realize that i live next to the school ... and that this power cut might actually affect me too .. not only all the kids that go to the school ... after checking with the power company ... it turned out the school's information was correct ... a power outage was expected to hot alhail south (only) and from Ahmed bin Something School going towards AlKhoudh ... starting from 7 am all the way to 3 pm ...

That's when the decision was made to take the kids to grandparents to send the night ... at the end .. its all about the kids .. (aish thanb ela6fal) ... why should they suffer thru a power outage ... then there was the fridge(s) and freezer(s) ... and of course my TV and electronics (Etc.) ... and the stupid time capsule i wasted money on ... not to forget all the split units ... and the stupid roller shutter that i will have to manually open then shower before going to work ... and finally it mean i wont be able to have breakfast at home before leaving ... (aish thanb ela6fal) ... but its about the kids ...

Put the kids in the car and drive to MQ, drop the kids and start to head back up to hail. While we are in town and dont have the kids, we might as well run a few errands, right? lets go to the tailor in Al Khuwiar before going back. Go into AlKuwair, Shop is closed. Ok... now that i am in Al Khuwair, i am going to go try that Naan Shop that @lasiaf always talks about! So I turn back into Al Khuwair from in front of Nadi Oman and drive towards the kebab factory. As i reach happyday another car slams right into my car from the back and scrapes the full side on the left side of my back bumper. His side view mirror flies off.... Aish Thanb El A6fal !!!!

I turn on the hazard light and get out of the car. All i can think of is the fact that I decided to wear trousers and not leave home in my cotton Adidas shorts. Smart Move... HI 5! The guy"s car is not next to mine in the middle of the road, I look at him thru the passenger window. He looks like he is shock or something?! i knock on the window and he signal "give me a minute". I go around the back to see what damage has my car taken. Hmmm not too much. Thumbs up ! not really, but given the circumstances. As i turn back to see why this guy has not gotten down from his car yet, to my SHOCK and HORROR, the guy decides to run away, and he speeds off. Luckily (or not) i managed to get his number plate (8279RS) yellow. RED TOYOTA Tercel. If you see him please tweet about about IT !!

Now, i am standing in the middle of the road. Banged up and deserted. Thank God I put on trousers. I could have been banged and deserted in my shorts and zanooba. Shocking behavior from this guy. Call 9999 they give me another number to call. They tell me to come to Police Station. Does this mean no keema naan? of course NOT!! Got the naans dropped the wife, picked up my brother in law (for company, these things are more fun if you have company) and went to the police station.. After explaining the situation a few times i am told to wait in the hallway. I took this picture! They have a whole section for bounced checks/cheques !!

One thing about Bowsher Station is that it is fully of mosquitoes. They are EVERYWHERE !! the policeman was nice, he took all the details. He asked me a very interesting question. "inta t6alib b'aish?" what are you asking for? I told him that i want them to bring him and that he should fix my car at the dealership. But, come to think of it. What can i ask for? can i ask for money? damages? compensation? One year Salary? what should I ask for? i ask him about the mosquitoes and he tells me that its a major problem, even more in the residential unit that they live in ... Aish Thanb El A6fal?

I just got all from the airport, there are two Filipinos that have just arrived and gave the guy my number so i can go pick them up ?! WTF?! he asked if i was in charge of them?

So as i was leaving the station i get the call.... The Kids are crying and want to come home, go pick them up. So at the end. We get back home. All of us. Only its 11 and the kids are still not sleeping. And this morning, the power outage never happened. its all about the kids...

Tomorrow, school starts and i go back to Police Station to follow up.
